24 teams from across Greater Manchester entered our first club organised summer league this summer. The competition ran over 7 weeks with 4 divisions of competition. A huge thank you to all teams that entered and s special thanks to the umpires that turned up each week, Watch this space for next years competition

Ahead of the team selection for the new season the men’s development squad took the trophy at their debut appearance at this tournament. 5 games played, 2 draws & 3 wins. 5 clean sheets! Well done to everyone involved!
The ladies 1’s and 3’s were successful in reaching the semi finals of the Greater Manchester Ladies Summer league, in Division 2 and 4 respectively. Ladies 1’s stormed through to the final after beating Bury Ladies 2-1, but were unlucky in a tense penalty shoot out against Heaton to take second place overall. The ladies 3’s came 4th on the night after two very close and well battled matches. Congratulations to both teams
With still 3 games to go the Ladies Second XI secured promotion to the second division, having conceded only 1 goal and scored 76 …….. and there are still 2 matches to go to gather more goals! They are 15 points ahead of their closest rivals. A fantastic achievement!!!
The draw took place on Saturday 16th September following the first match of the season. The winner of the draw was Tree Accountancy. There was also a draw for the sponsor of the umpire and the succesful sponsor was Mandy’s Mobile Munchies (no relation to the Lady’s chair!!!)
